BENTELER opens new plant in São Caetano do Sul to better serve its customers
São Caetano do Sul/Paderborn/Salzburg, July 13th 2017. BENTELER Automotive improves proximity to a key customer by opening its new plant in São Caetano do Sul, Brazil. On July 12th James T. Sheehan, COO BENTELER Automotive and Emerson Galina, Executive Vice President Mercosur, welcomed internal and external guests from BENTELER’s key customer and employees at the opening ceremony.
The 8,531 m² factory is able to produce modules on five production lines. The new location is the fifth plant in Brazil in addition to the Mercosur headquarter established in 1995 in Campinas. It compliments the locations in Camaçari, Porto Real, Joinville and Itatiaia. 65 trained BENTELER employees work at the new site.
The opening represents an important milestone in BENTELER Automotive’s development in Brazil and also in its customer relationship. “We are close to our customers: We aim to be present in their key markets to closely collaborate on excellent products and services”, explains James T. Sheehan, COO BENTELER Automotive. BENTELER’s customers benefit from the broad competence the company has developed over 140 years and shares globally across markets.
With the new São Caetano do Sul location and the other existing plants in Brazil, BENTELER has been strengthening its relationship with its Mercosur customers since 1995. “Due to our long-term working relationship, we are able to support our customers with tailor-made solutions in various fields and develop new technologies. We provide a high level of innovation skills and problem-solving expertise for our customers”, elaborates Emerson Galina, Executive Vice President Mercosur.
The new location, three kilometers away from the customer, ensures a quick and responsive reaction to customer needs with convenient access to BENTELER worldwide facilities and headquarters. In addition to South America, BENTELER supplies its customers worldwide from about 72 plants in 25 countries.
