Sustainability Project in Puebla: Regulator Vase that Reduces Hydric Stress
Our plant in Puebla, Mexico, is setting a strong example for environmental protection: a newly developed compensation tank collects rainwater and, after purification steps, makes it usable again for the painting process.
Up to 5,000 m³ of water per month are recycled this way, significantly reducing the water pollution for the surrounding community.
How the System Works
An equalization tank was developed to collect rainwater and, after several purification steps, make it reusable in our painting operations.
The system can collect and treat up to 5,000 m³ of water per month, significantly reducing water demand and environmental impact for the surrounding community.
By reusing resources and implementing creative solutions, we are reaffirming our commitment to an environmentally conscious future. The measure in Puebla contributes to our group-wide ESG goal of reducing water consumption in regions with high or extremely high water consumption by 20% by 2030 compared to the base year 2019.
It also embodies our corporate value of “ambition,” which drives us to continuously seek solutions that improve our processes and contribute to a more sustainable future.
