Innovation under high pressure: BENTELER develops 500-bar fuel line

Paderborn, April 29, 2025. Even in an electrified world of mobility, combustion technology remains relevant - especially for plug-in hybrids. In 2024, around 14 million engines with high-pressure injection were produced in China alone. 

Together with our development partner PHINIA, BENTELER has brought the world's first 500-bar fuel line for petrol engines into series production. The system improves fuel efficiency, ensures finer injection and helps to meet emission standards such as China VI and Euro VI. 

Manufactured using a forging and brazing process, the line impresses with its high strength, precision and corrosion resistance. Already in use: in new Changan vehicle models - as part of the PHINIA system.
