Thomas Glynn to become new CFO of the BENTELER Group

Salzburg, April 13, 2026. Thomas Glynn will become the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the BENTELER Group. In this role, he will also serve as Managing Director of BENTELER International Austria GmbH, the Group’s holding company, and will join CEO Ralf Göttel on the BENTELER Group Executive Board.

Effective today, Glynn will succeed Dr. Tobias Braun, who will leave the company at his own request and by mutual agreement to pursue new professional challenges. Over the coming weeks, Tobias Braun and Thomas Glynn will work closely together to ensure a smooth and orderly handover.

Before joining the BENTELER Group, Thomas Glynn most recently worked at Topside Group LLC, where he acted as a banking and capital markets expert. He brings extensive experience in corporate finance, treasury, capital markets, and performance management across international markets.

Tobias Braun joined BENTELER in 2018 as Managing Director and CFO of the Steel/Tube Division and was appointed Group CFO in September 2022.

He also played a key role in two refinancing rounds – in 2023 and again last year. About Thomas Glynn
Thomas Glynn has over 30 years of senior experience in banking and insurance, including licensing, operating, and restructuring financial services platforms internationally. He has held multiple CEO and board positions in financial services businesses globally. Among other roles, he led banking turnaround efforts for KPMG UK LLP, served as CEO and Executive Director of DEPFA Bank plc in Ireland, and was a member of the Management Board of Hypo Real Estate Group AG, where he was responsible for capital markets and asset management. In addition, he created and managed multiple profitable financial platforms as Global Credit Treasurer of HVB Group.

About Dr. Tobias Braun
Dr. Tobias Braun joined BENTELER in 2018 as Managing Director and CFO of the Steel/Tube Division. In September 2022, he was appointed Group CFO with responsibility for Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Legal & Insurance, Internal Audit, and Tax. Since July 2025, he has also served as Managing Director of BENTELER Business Services. Previously, he managed numerous projects in the industrial goods, steel and automotive sectors as a partner of the management consultancy Stern Stewart & Co.
