Campinas plant receives Honda Sustainability Award 2018

Campinas, Brazil, May 23rd, 2018. End of April, BENTELER Automotive Campinas received the annual Sustainability Award by leading automotive manufacturer Honda. In the run-up to the ceremony, 70 suppliers were invited to present their sustainability projects. Of the ten finalists, two were recognized with an award – one of them was BENTELER.

BENTELER´s department for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) together with the Maintenance team presented to the customer the improvements made at the Campinas site during 2017 with regard to energy efficiency. These include the implementation of energy efficiency management tools and the replacement of conventional lamps with LED lamps in the local plant. Further upgrades covered the automatic programming of air conditioning as well as investments in new technologies in the painting line and in office air conditioning.

The Honda Sustainability Award reflects BENTELER’s continuous commitment to environmental protection as well as its trustful relationships with its customers and the local community.
