Casper Benteler assumes control of the BENTELER Group
Stephan Knüttel, VP Corporate Comm./Marketing BENTELER Group
Salzburg, March 2, 2026. The BENTELER Group has streamlined its corporate governance: Casper Benteler has now assumed control for the BENTELER Group, which was previously held by Hubertus Benteler Ges.m.b.H., Salzburg, and Dr. Ing. E.h. Helmut Benteler GmbH, Paderborn. The details of the transaction are private.
Casper Benteler is the son of long-serving CEO Hubertus Benteler and represents the fifth generation of the entrepreneurial family. Founded in 1876 by Carl Benteler, the BENTELER Group today employs more than 20,000 employees at around 90 locations worldwide.
Casper Benteler said: “Taking responsibility for the BENTELER Group is both an obligation and a privilege for me. Mobility, sustainability, and industrial transformation will continue to shape our environment in the long term. I would like to thank the Benteler family branch around Wernher Benteler and Frederik Vaubel, who have supported the company with a sustainable perspective and great commitment.”
The management of the BENTELER Group also welcomed the new governance. BENTELER CEO Ralf Göttel said: “The continued commitment of the founding family is a strong sign of trust. In addition to the positive earnings performance of recent years, this step underscores the successful transformation and strategic strength of the BENTELER Group. Casper Benteler is an internationally experienced entrepreneur who knows the BENTELER Group extremely well. A clearly structured, long-term oriented shareholder base is a decisive stabilizing factor, especially in volatile times.”
Casper Benteler does not hold an operational role in the BENTELER Group’s day-to-day business but serves as a member of the Supervisory Board. He will continue to serve as CEO of CAB Holding GmbH, the new holding company of the BENTELER Group. In this role, he will be responsible for the strategic alignment of the BENTELER Group with its existing partner firms, including BENTELER Trading International AG and BENTELER Mobility GmbH. He will also continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of HOLON Autonomous Mobility AG.
The Supervisory Board of the BENTELER Group is chaired by Hubertus Benteler.
Ralf Göttel concluded: “With a stable corporate structure and a broadly diversified product portfolio for mobility, industry, and energy, the BENTELER Group is well-positioned in a dynamic market environment. In close cooperation with our customers, we will continue to make mobility safer and more sustainable – creating the basis for profitable growth, today and in the future.”
