Paderborn, our extremely durable gas generator sleeves are indispensable components of modern airbag systems. They must function reliably under all conditions – because they protect lives in critical moments. For more than 25 years, we at BENTELER Steel/Tube have been supplying airbag manufacturers and processors worldwide with seamless and welded tubes. 

Our ambition is clear: maximum safety, highest quality and cost‑efficient solutions.

In 2014, we built our own processing center for airbag tubes at our Schloß Neuhaus site. This enables us to cover the entire value chain – from our in‑house electric steel mill to component manufacturing. This fully integrated approach is truly unique and allows us to control costs and quality from the very beginning and guarantee the highest standards throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Our airbag tubes are engineered for extreme demands. They are used in gas generators that deploy airbags within milliseconds – and help save lives.

• Load capacity: Minimum burst pressures up to 2,000 bar and reliable performance down to –60 °C
• Strength: Mechanical stability with strength levels up to 1,200 MPa
• Dimensions: Diameters 20–40 mm, wall thicknesses 1.2–3 mm, tailored to each application
• Delivery formats: As‑produced lengths, cut lengths, or pre‑formed components – exactly as required
