BENTELER is a partner of the GENIUS Award 2018
Paderborn, August 6, 2018. Rising pressure to innovate, rapid technological change and ever more complex requirements – the demand for new solutions in the mobility sector is ongoing. The best ideas and concepts in e-mobility and vehicle connectivity are getting a new showcase, in the shape of the first GENIUS Award, to be presented in Berlin on October 11 this year. This is an initiative of the German-language business newspaper Handelsblatt, and BENTELER is a partner of the award. Oliver Lang, member of the Management Board of BENTELER Automotive is a jury member.
This award highlights for the first time products, services and business models that sustainably change the mobility offering. As such the event focuses on ideas that will have a significant effect on mobility in the future. In total submissions have been received from 90 start-ups, established companies, local authorities, and associations.
BENTELER Automotive is actively supporting the GENIUS Award as a partner. “Companies must push ahead even more strongly with innovations. As a long-standing provider of solutions, BENTELER is at the forefront of developments. With our partnership in the GENIUS Award we are strengthening our contacts to start-ups and potential partners,” explains Oliver Lang, who also expressed great satisfaction with the high number of submissions. “We are always on the look-out for new ideas and directions. That´s what enables us to anticipate trends.”
As a sponsor of this award and a leading systems partner worldwide, BENTELER Automotive is clear about its aim: “We want to drive innovative mobility solutions – together with our customers and our network in general,” says Oliver Lang. “For us the award is also a platform for closer networking and for exchanging experience. Start-ups are known for their speed and agility, for example. And that is precisely what is important in our day-to-day business: We have to ensure the greatest possible flexibility for our customers and we must keep adapting our products quickly to their needs.”
Within the award there are four categories: Driving Disruption, Connecting People, Inspiring Innovation and Visionary Reality. Then there is also a special prize for a category called “Best Motivator”. A high-ranking jury, which also includes Oliver Lang, will select the winners on August 15, at a jury session. And the presentation ceremony will be held on October 11 in Berlin.
