VALUES &
TRADITION
We have changed continuously, from a small hardware store in the heart of Europe to a global metal processing specialist.
THE VALUES THAT DEFINE US
We always had the courage to try new things, the ambition to be the best, and the respect to work with each other on an equal footing.
Courage
- Being inquisitive, seeking out new paths.
- Pursuing our goals with passion and dedication, while also taking responsibility for the result.
- Bravely changing what is already there to produce even better results.
- Fighting for what we think is right and important with tenacity and discipline. Not against each other but together, for the best result.
Ambition
- Striving for excellence and orientating ourselves to the requirements of the future.
- Always going the extra mile - that is what sets us apart from the competition and is necessary if we are to achieve great results.
- Thinking outside of the box, across divisions, to the advantage of our customers and the group as a whole.
Respect
- Valuing each other and the contribution that each individual makes.
- Keeping our promises and standing together, for each other.
- Having trust in each other and giving each other the space to develop and to implement new ideas.
- When ideas fail, always being open to learn from them.
Our Tradition
1876 was an eventful year. Nikolaus Otto fired up his first four-stroke engine. Mark Twain published The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. And in Bielefeld, a 23-year-old man acquired a hardware store. And thereby laid the foundation stone for our almost 150-year company history.
