BENTELER drives industrial digitalization in Burgos with support from the ERDF and the Regional Government of Castilla y León

BENTELER ESPAÑA, S.A. continues to advance its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the digital transformation of its production plants. Within the framework of the Strategic R&D Plans program, the company is developing the project “MTO - SAP EAM, maintenance management module,” included in the strategic plan “Digitalization of the BESA Burgos plant for adaptation to the 2030 Agenda and the electric vehicle.”

This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and by the Regional Government of Castilla y León, through the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICECYL), with the aim of promoting research, technological development, and innovation in the region’s industrial sector.

Digital transformation toward the industry of the future

The digitalization of the Burgos plant marks a key step in BENTELER’s strategy toward Industry 4.0, fostering more efficient, connected, and sustainable processes.

The MTO - SAP EAM project focuses on implementing an advanced maintenance management system that will enable the optimization of resources, reduction of downtime, and improvement of traceability for equipment and production assets. With this initiative, BENTELER strengthens its ability to adapt to the demands of the electric vehicle market, aligning with the sustainability and digitalization objectives established in the 2030 Agenda.
