Harald Weber, Spokesperson

Düsseldorf / Salzburg, May 13, 2026. On Monday, May 11, Dr. Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, Austria’s Federal Minister for Economy, Energy, and Tourism, visited the BENTELER site in Düsseldorf along with a delegation. The purpose of the visit was to gain direct insight into local industrial value creation and to discuss current economic and industrial conditions. The delegation was welcomed by Markus Buchsteiner (Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BENTELER Automobiltechnik GmbH), Uwe Henny (Chief Financial Officer of BENTELER Automotive Modules), and Christoph Brenke (Vice President Operations of BENTELER Automotive Modules).

“It was a particular pleasure for us to welcome Federal Minister Dr. Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer to our site in Düsseldorf,” emphasized Markus Buchsteiner. “Personal dialogue with political decision-makers is essential for internationally positioned industrial companies with strong roots in Austria and Europe.”

Practical insight into modern manufacturing

In addition to an overview of the company and its facilities, the visit focused on the industry’s current challenges and included a tour through the production area. “The direct insight into manufacturing highlights just how demanding modern industrial value creation is today,” explained Uwe Henny. “It fosters a better understanding of operational realities – from efficiency requirements to process stability – and underscores the value of a fact-based dialogue between politics and industry.”

BENTELER is an internationally active company whose holding company is headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, from where the group manages its global operations. The Düsseldorf plant belongs to the BENTELER Automotive Modules division and specializes in the assembly of modules and systems for automotive customers. Efficient production processes and close collaboration along the supply chain characterize the work on site.
