Best Manager in Castilla y León

Burgos, June 4th 2018. From more than 280 nominees, the magazine Castilla y León Económica awarded the "best manager in Castilla y León". The winner: Ricardo García, Executive Vice President Southern Europe at BENTELER Automotive. The publication thus honors the exemplary career of the 58-year-old.

"Ricardo García makes a decisive contribution to the development of BENTELER Automotive in general, but above all in Burgos. That's why Castilla y León is recognized as one of the most important regions in the automotive industry," the magazine explains.

Ricardo García started his BENTELER career in 1990 as Director of Production and Maintenance at the Burgos plant. He then worked for BENTELER in nine different countries, both in managerial and operational positions. He was plant manager in Brazil, Argentina, South Africa and Mexico. Under the leadership of García, the regional headquarter for Southern Europe was relocated from Barcelona to Burgos in 2013. This created synergies with the plant there, the largest BENTELER plant in Spain.

BENTELER gives its employees the opportunity to grow professionally and make a difference. Employees are the key to success here. Their skills, motivation and ambition drive us every day to more than 70 locations in 25 countries worldwide, "explains Ricardo García, who got the award in Valladolid on 31 May.
